POWER helps women identify opportunities and develop competitive strategies in emerging sectors, traditionally dominated by men in the U.S. and abroad.

POWER will work directly with women business-owners and leaders to promote women’s full participation in the global economy.

The long-term effectiveness of efforts to empower women economically depends on the existence of strong, active professional female networks. POWER helps establish these networks to support women in expanding their businesses and overcoming barriers.

Women’s economic empowerment is a top priority for the U.S. government. In February 2019, the White House launched the Women’s Global Development and Prosperity Initiative, W-GDP. This whole of government approach aims to reach 50 million women by 2025. POWER supports the goals of the W-GDP, which consist of the following three pillars: Women Prospering in the Workforce, Women Succeeding as Entrepreneurs, and Women Enabled in the Economy.
